Foodservice University® (FSU) is a Subsidiary of Hospitality Training, LLC, a limited liability partnership headed by foodservice industry veterans, Thomas D. Rector, President and Kenneth W. Reynolds, Founder and Chief Technology Officer.

Founded in March 1998, the company conducted its first online training in March of 2000. FSU is the first e-Learning system designed exclusively for the Food Industry. It is a new, cost-effective web-based training portal that delivers high quality training programs on manufacturer's product lines to broker and distributor sales reps. More and more manufacturers are depending on FSU for product knowledge and sales training because it offers a truly cost-effective, consistent, and up-dateable delivery system.

Clients include; Basic American Foods, Bay Valley Foods, Dreyer's/Edy's Grand Ice Cream, Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream, Icelandic USA, UniPro Foodservice.  Presently, FSU has over 12,000 Sales Agency (BSR's) and Food Service Distributor (DSR's) receiving training on product lines that they sell.

Thomas D. Rector, President
Tom Rector brings 30 years of food industry experience in sales, marketing, and executive management to his role in Foodservice University.  Since the beginning of his foodservice career in 1972, he has held various sales and management positions at the Keebler Company, as well as senior management and corporate officer responsibilities at the Specialty Brands division of International Multifoods, and Tri- Valley Growers.  In 2000, he established the effess group, a consulting practice focused on sales productivity and eBusiness initiatives for the foodservice industry.

Rector joined Foodservice University as a partner and President in February 2003.  He has a College of Business B.S./B.A. from The Ohio State University, M.B.A. studies from Capitol University, and has completed several executive studies courses at The Kellogg School of Business, Northwestern University.  Tom now resides in the Atlanta area with his family.

Kenneth W. Reynolds, Founder & Chief Technology Officer
With over 40 years of experience in the food industry, Ken has held positions with the Campbell Soup Company, the Howard Johnson Company and Frosty Acres Brands.
In addition to his duties with FSU he serves as Executive Director of The Foodservice Group, Inc. a national share group of foodservice Sales Agencies and NIMS, Inc. a national share group of Ingredient Food Brokers.

In the 1980s, Ken began to focus on technology as it relates to the foodservice industry. He was instrumental in the inception of FoodCom, Inc., a telecommunications business specializing in food industry e-mail and EDI communications, and the development of a custom field Sales Automation Software program for foodservice brokers, called FoodServe. Ken is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.
